The blacksmith shop for the property was adjacent to this building which was an ox barn in the 19th century. As a child, I remember helping my father at the forge by fanning the fire while he hammered the blades of his plough. “La Forge” is now an elegant and bright villa with a 55m2 living/dining room, an open kitchen, a washroom and a laundry room on the ground floor. This building was originally used as a sheep barn then as a mill for the farm. Under the large covered courtyard, wood was dried and cut by hand which inspired the name “La Scie” (the Saw). Today it is a spacious villa with views on the courtyard and the stream that runs in the woods below the property. Le Fruitier is a quiet and elegant apartment located on the ground floor of the Grande Maison. With its comfortable features and single floor plan, it is fully accessible to guests with reduced mobility. Long ago, “Le Fruitier” (the Fruit Cellar) was used to store the fruit from the property’s orchards through winter. The beautiful vaulted ceilings and century old parquet give it a special charm. Its many French doors open to a south facing patio overlooking the park and a sheltered courtyard with a fountain and natural stone columns.

The Domaine de Vincenti sits on many natural springs. Below the villa “Le Bassin” (the Basin) is a small room with a fountain of fresh spring water accessed by a secured stone staircase. In the past it was used to wash laundry. Le Bassin is a house filled with warmth, serenity and comfort. The bottom floor offers a very large living and dining room, open kitchen, WC and laundry room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms: a master bedroom with en suite bath, another bedroom with a king size bed and a third bedroom with 2 twin beds.

It used to be customary for families in rural Drôme to own a flock of doves. We named this villa “Le Colombier” (the Dove House) in memory of this tradition. In reality, this building was originally a silkworm breeding barn. On the ground floor of this villa is a living/dining room with an impressive cathedral ceiling and a large bay window with French doors. A laundry room adjoins the open fully equipped kitchen. In the nineteenth century, Vincenti’s head farmer lived in this house. The estate was self-sufficient with livestock, crop fields, woods, vineyards, orchards, and a vast vegetable garden. These agricultural activities supported several families. This villa was completely restored while preserving the magnificent covered terrace that we named it after. Set on three levels, you will find on the bottom floor a large living/dining room, an open kitchen, a washroom and a laundry room. 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, 3 of them en suite, are located on the upper floors.

This south-facing villa has an entrance framed by two centennial Spanish fir trees that provide privacy and shade. The name “Les Agnelles” (the Lambs) refers to the young sheep who were bred in this building to renew the farm’s large herd. I have fond childhood memories of herding the sheep in the meadows of Vincenti on slow summer days. On the ground floor of this lovely and comfortable villa you will find a living/dining room of nearly 37m2, an open kitchen, a laundry room and a washroom. Upstairs are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en suite.

Until the beginning of the 20th century, bread for the estate was baked on site. The original wood fired oven has been preserved and guests are welcome to bake delicious bread, pizzas or grilled meats. “Le Four à Pain” (the Bread Oven) is a very bright villa with a beautiful view on the fields and mountains. It is the closest to the swimming pool and tennis court. On the ground floor, there is a spacious 62m2 living/dining room, an open kitchen, a washroom and a laundry room. The largest vacation home on the property owes its unusual name “the Small House” to the role it played for our family two centuries ago, offering a few additional bedrooms to increase the capacity of the main house. It also contained an orangery, a chapel and several granaries for produce and grain storage. We transformed it into a bright and charming villa that opens onto the main park of the estate. The south-facing facade basks in sunlight from early morning and the large trees on the edge of the house provide refreshing shade throughout the day.
