Nature and hiking

On foot or by bike, escape to the many trails and small roads of the Drôme. From the property itself, you can access beautiful walking and running paths in the countryside. Beyond the property, you will discover magnificent landscapes with countless hikes for all levels in the Pre-Alps, the Vercors mountains, the Saoû forest, and other surrounding mountains and valleys.

Culture and heritage

Explore the many ancient villages of the region and discover their history, cobblestone streets, stone architecture, traditional crafts, and charming restaurants and bistros. Just 1.5 hours away by car, you can visit three extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage sites: Lyon’s old town, the medieval city of Avignon and the Chauvet Cave with some of the oldest known cave paintings. Throughout the year, the website publishes a varied list of cultural events in the nearby region: conferences, guided tours, shows, concerts etc.

Sports and Outdoor activities

Markets, vineyards and gastronomy

The Drôme department is France’s leader in organic farming. Local produce, fruits, meats and cheeses of exceptional quality are available year-round at farmers markets and directly from producers.
The valley is famous for the production of Clairette de Die, a white sparkling wine. There are also numerous Côtes du Rhône wineries in the region.
You can enjoy fantastic French cuisine in small village restaurants or treat yourself to a real gastronomic experience at Michelin starred establishments (Kléber locally, Maison Pic, Saveurs, La Cachette… in Valence). Finally, the area has several renowned chocolate makers.
